So I was hanging out in front of the glass court watching a couple play and then the court became empty so I invited the guy sitting next to me to play. He was waiting for a doubles game but agree to get a short game in while he was waiting for the rest of his group to show up.
Trevor and I played a game and it was a smack down. What a difference in level of play between the two of us. I was amazed and the speed in which he can hit the ball and accuracy of the shots. I did manage to score a few shots and had my fair share of side outs and most of my points were given up due to set ups and he incredible backhand.
But again I'm inspired by the level of play that A and B players possess and I do not.
After we got thru with the 15-4 game we played a few games of doubles as one person from his party was running late. All 3 were a/b players and the ball was flying around the court. I managed to hold my own, didn't hit anyone and didn't get hit so I think I played well, considering I haven't played doubles in 10+ years. And best of all I made a few good kill shots along the way. My team did loose both game however...can't remember the scores as I'm writing this several days after the fact.
Oh and headcold has resurfaced again. I went back to the Dr's and he gave me a stronger antibiotic, 10 days instead of 7 so this will hopefully kick it out for good. 24 hours after taking first round I'm feeling much better and can breathe again.
Toury starts June 16th and all these colds are not helping matters at all. Cardio was just starting to get to acceptable levels and boom I had to take 2 days off. I probably shouldn't play today but I'm getting a little stir crazy:-) I'll keep it light and work on technique and this weekend I'll hit cardio harder.
