Court Time

Talk about Raquetball, Squash, Handball and other Racket Court type sports

OK legs, sore, feet, sore, back sore, right should sore, right hand sore. Mission accomplished, I'm sore.

Today's work out:
First I hit the sauna to warm up and stretch.

My philosophy is to get the kinks out you have to play again the day after pushing a little hard. This gets the muscles warmed up and moving again. It may not feel good at the time but the next day you can walk. I find if I don't work out again the very next day I'm toast or butta whatever the expression du jour is.

So today I did fore/back hand drills, then hit the can drill (I missed every time; both fore and backhand but came close most of the time but no ceeegars).

I went out onto the court with 15 racquetballs and after every round I would run/sprint to pick them all up going from one and pick the furthest one away and sprint and the to the furthest one away and sprint. Three rounds of that and the legs were done for a while. This was tough.

Then I hit some fore and backhand's high off the wall to a kill shot but at this point I was pretty winded.

I obviously need to get my endurance up so I went the treadmill and did 15 mins of alternating 5 mins walk, 1 min sprint.

After watching some of the racquetball videos on YouTube which I've embedded here I'm inspired and in awe of how racquetball can be played so it's something to strive for. Maybe not all the diving and such but defintely the hussle these guys are putting into their play.

Then to the weight room do do a few bench presses, then out of time...Gotta get back to work.
